Day 1: Arrival and City Overview

Your journey starts in Addis Ababa. You will be greeted and taken to your cozy hotel in the city center. After you get settled, we will meet for a welcome lunch at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant, where you can try local dishes. 

In the afternoon, we will go on a brief city tour, stopping at Meskel Square, the main landmark of the city, and the busy Merkato, one of the largest outdoor markets in Africa. Here, you can feel the lively atmosphere while shopping for local products and crafts.

Day 2: History and Culture

The second day will be dedicated to exploring Addis Ababa’s rich history and culture. We will visit the National Museum of Ethiopia, home to “Lucy,” one of the oldest human fossils. This museum provides an interesting look into Ethiopia’s ancient past. 

Next, we will go to Holy Trinity Cathedral, an important religious site with beautiful buildings and stunning stained-glass windows. After exploring the cathedral, we will have a tasty lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Ethnological Museum, located in the old palace of Emperor Haile Selassie. This museum gives insight into Ethiopia’s various cultures, displaying traditional clothing, artifacts, and art. 

We will also take a peaceful walk through the gardens of Addis Ababa University, providing a nice break from the busy city. The evening is free for you to explore on your own or relax at your hotel.

Day 3: Mount Entoto and Goodbyes

On our last day, we will visit Mount Entoto, the highest point overlooking Addis Ababa. The drive-up offers stunning views of the city, and at the top, you can explore the historic Entoto Maryam Church and the old palace of Emperor Menelik II. This area is surrounded by eucalyptus trees and provides a calm atmosphere away from the busy city below.

After coming down from the mountain, we will return to the city. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to visit the Addis Mercato, the largest open-air market in Africa. As the sun sets on our final day, we’ll say our goodbyes and transfer you to the airport for your onward journey.
